时间	when, while, as, before, after, since, until, as soon as	I'll call you as soon as I arrive.
原因	because, since, as, now that	He was late because it snowed.
条件	if, unless, as long as, in case	If you hurry, you can catch the bus.
让步	although, though, even if, even though	Although he is old, he works hard.

目的	so that, in order that	He studied hard so that he could pass.
结果	so...that, such...that	He was so tired that he fell asleep.
方式	as, as if, as though	He talks as if he knew everything.
地点	where, wherever	Sit wherever you like.

I have lived here since I was a child.

I waited until he came.（我一直等到他来。）
I didn't go to bed until twelve.（我直到十二点才睡觉。）

because、since、as

because 和 so 不能同时用。

unless

Unless you hurry up, you will be late.
= If you don't hurry up, you will be late.

He is poor. He is happy, though.

so that 可以引导目的状语从句，从句里常有 can、could、will、would 这样的情态动词。so...that 和 such...that 引导结果状语从句，意思是「如此……
